Classcraft

In Te Maunga we are playing a game called Classcraft. We are playing this game because we are learning about collaboration and relationships. We can be nice to each other by helping them with there work and giving them feedback for their writing. Classcraft is a game where you have to work together as a team to get XP (experience points) for doing the right thing like staying on task and doing your work. But if  you're talking to your mate you will lose HP points (health points) and when you don’t do the right thing like social talking you will also lose HP. Your team can help you if you lose points but only if they are a healer.

if you have lose some HP the warrior that can take some damage so you don't need to fall in battle. it is really cool because you have to work together so you can get points but if you don’t and someone falls in battle you lose points to. I think I do well because I am helping my team to do the right thing, but I could do better by working on my learning so I can get better at Classcraft.

I think we should get this awesome maths Hub web site because if we don’t have it we won’t learn that well as we do now, I also think we should have this web site is because we can find more and better things for our learning goals.

It is very easy to use and it’s not confusing, you can learn all of your goals, I also think we should have this because it saves time for the teacher putting you in workshop but with maths hub you can do your goal and your teacher can do some more Important

things like maths and writing.

You don’t need to sit on the mat listening to the teacher, you can just go on maths hub and learn whatever you want, you also can get other goals when you have finish your goal, and it is just the best

I also think it is good because you can Improve your maths or writing and it is Doesn't just help Te Maunga it helps the whole school and it’s better to do this then working by yourself.

I think we should get this because it is a cool web site to do your work on

my birthday recount

One awesome morning

I woke up to “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” and  some breakfast in bed. Then I had to get ready to go to Whangarei I was excited, on the way there we stopped in Kerikeri to get some snacks for on the way there.   we made it to jump I was excited then we went in

I could hear people screaming and yelling, when we got to go in I ran to the bumper bubbles

and bumped my sister over. A bumper bubble is a big bubbles with little handles that let you bol people over without hurting them it was funny then me and ocean went to the tramps, my sister and I were doing flips and jumping around, then my sister ocean went in the big bouncy castle.

 

But when we had to go I was sad but the cool thing is that we got to go swimming, when we got to the hot poles me and my sister went to the slides there were a dark slide and a rainbow slide. Me and my sister had a little slide race the 1 race I won. and the other race my sister wan

Then I played with my little brother in the kids poles, he was splashing in the water. I went to the deep end, with all waves and all the kids ,  then I  went to the werl pole when I was running

around I tride to the other way but that didn't work because the water was to strong,

Then I went to the deep deep end,  so I could do booms so I got up and jumped, BOOM!!! I did the biggest boom in the world the water went every where then we had go back home

I had the best day in my life I got to go everywhere when I got home I went to sleep.

Our School Trip

On Tuesday Te  Maunga, Te Ngahere and Te Moona went to the treaty grounds, when we got there we were split into groups. We all got stickers and played games

the first thing I did was making kites out of flax, I called hear people saying “I can’t do this” but they got there. When I was finished my kite me and my friend Rikki-dean went to fly it.

Then we moved to a different activity, we played this game called maui matau. You had to

Move to the  right if she said maui and if she said matau you had to move left it was confusing and fun,  then we went on to the next game.

We had to  get blindfolded and listen to a  rattle noise and try touch the other person,  it was fun. Then we went into the bush to learn about different trees

and how they were helpful in the olden days, in the olden days people used a tree to make gunpowder

Then me, Rikki-dean and Lucas  planted a little tree that had little spikes on it. I felt Awesome then we had to go back to school, when I was walking back to school my legs felt like sloths

On the way back me and my friend were playing a game then we got back to school I had a big drake and got my bag then the bell  ring then I went home.

triathlon

on Friday we did our noun triathlon, we all went down to the beach and waited, the older kids went first then it was my race I slowly went to the starting line, on your mark get set go!!!! I zoomed into the water and stared swimming I got out of the water and stared sprinting, I had got to school I was huffing and puffing but I didn't stop I zoomed around the field two times, then I made it to the finish line I was so happy that it was over. 

All Saints Day

In Te Maunga we have been working on Celebration's. I did a Celebration called All Saints Day
all saints day is about remembering the people that have past on. this celebration is held in Sweden
I am going to show you my celebration. I think I did well at  getting information  and I think I could of did my presentation better   

Good Bye Whaea Jessie

In Te Maunga we have been so lucky to have the wonderful whaea Jessie as our student teacher.  we have had whaea Jessy in our class for two weeks. But sadly whaea Jessie has to go back to universality  in Auckland. We all are going to miss her so much so that is why we are going to say a big good bye on Friday the 23rd of June. whaea Jessy help us with our maths, reading , writing ,literacy and lastly Te Reo Maori. She is a great student teacher. we all  hope she gets to come back to paihia school and teaches one of our classes.

4 weeks ago some lifeguards came to my school. there names were Toobs Sam and Liam . they came to my school because they wanted to teach us how to be safe in the water the first they teach us what lifeguards do for a living the second thing they teach us about how to get out of rips first you would have to lie down and wheat for the rip to stop

This Is My Persuasive Writing

I think we should have chromebooks because they can help you with your learning.It also means a lot because you can search information on google faster.

Firstly I think  we should have chromebooks because if you're working and you had to watch a video but you weren't listening. You don’t know what to do  to but on a chromebook you can watch the video how meany times you want. I also think we should have chromebooks because it’s fun and cool to play on.

Secondly I think we should have chromebooks because you can share your work with a  buddy. You also don’t need to wait in a big line waiting for your work to get checked.

Thirdly I think we should have chromebooks because when you're writing and you don’t know a word you can just listen to it or if you can’t spell a word you can just go to tools and click spelling and it does it for you.

Fourthly also think we should have chromebooks because in your books it’s harder and longer to write but on your chromebook you can do it’s faster and it doesn't take long and it’s cool.

Lastly I think we should have chromebooks because you can send your work to your teacher.

Our New Furniture

Last week in Te Maunga we have been looking at some new furniture because the furniture we had was uncomfortable. then the new furniture came when it came we were all existed here is also some pitchers of us enjoying the new furniture

Last week in Te Maunga we have been learning to collaborate. We had to brake into this hard box and it went good but when we stared it didn't go well. 	I spell most essential list words correctly and attempt some difficult words using spelling rules.	I use capital letters, and sentence endings correctly for most of my sentences and some other punctuation correctly.	I am beginning to write sentences of different lengths-simple, compound and complex sentences.	I can write a lot of simple words and some extra words to add detail. Noun / verbs / adjectives.	I have many simple ideas on the topic with no detail.		I put my ideas in order or groups and am attempting paragraphs. I use clear pronouns.
How do I know? Give some examples from your writing of why you think you are in that box	I think i'm in R4 because I can spell some words (like, swimming,exhausted Sprinting,careful, and those are the words I can spell.	I think i’m R4 because I can put all my Capitals, full stop   Commas, in the right places but sometimes I forget to put them in.	I think i’m R3 because I put in some complex sentence And some Compound sentence	I think i’m in R3 because I can put interesting words but I don’t put metaphors and similes.	I think i’m R3 because I have ideas but I don’t really have any  detail.		I think i’m R4 because I put in paragraphs in my stories but my sentences aren't long
What next? What are your next learning steps?	I am going to keep trying to spell more bigger words and more interesting words.	I need to use more full stops capital letters   exclamation mark Comers and  speech marks in my stories	I need to put more complex sentence And some more compound sentence In my stories	I need to put more similes and metaphors and more interesting words in my stories.	I need to put more detail to my scents And put more ideas into my writing.		I need to put longer sentences in my paragraphs

I going to work on my Sentence Structure  and my Vocabulary.
